LLif(T) is proud to present another in its ongoing series of innovative and experimental music sessions, featuring the incredibly talented performer John Bisset

John Bisset’s playing is eclectic and adventurous putting him at the forefront of current UK experimental music scene.

His work incorporates improvisation, songwriting, movie-making and composition. He is currently playing lap steel guitar and explorations of this instrument have been documented in his solo recordings since 2022.

John has worked with Maggie Nicols, Rhodri Davies, Burkhard Beins, Alex Ward, Butch Morris, and many others. Current collaborators include George Garford, Jem Finer, Milana Sarukhanyan and Iris Colomb.

John will be performing with members of the Llif(T) improvisers.

Mr Phormula SAIN OF THE TIMES: Hip Hop Response to SAIN Records

Responding to the previous week's Tyrchu Sain session, the renowned rapper, producer and beat boxer Mr Phormula will dig deep through the vast Sain records back catalouge to create new Hip Hop compositions. By incorporating voice, samples, remixes Mr Phormula will weave a sonic soup that will make for an afternoon of amazing music

His musical project Pioden (Magpie) is a vibrant mix of protest folk and punk that has wowed audiences and built up a loyal following . Behind the Scenes Project

The aim of the project is to pilot how schools can more easily access national collections – and how galleries that are part of the CELF network might help facilitate that. This project offers one model of working. Storiel and Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw have worked with two primary schools – Ysgol Garnedd (Bangor) and Ysgol Cymerau (Pwllheli) respectively, the artist Luned Rhys Parri and Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales.
