The workshop will start with a brief artist’s talk before taking a look at some of the relevant objects in the museum. Using recycled packaging and decorative stitching to create containers inspired by traditional Welsh textiles and slate work.

The upcoming workshop promises to be a captivating blend of art and history. It will commence with an insightful talk from the artist, setting the stage for a deeper appreciation of the museum’s curated pieces. Participants will then engage in a hands on experience, transforming recycled materials into beautiful containers. These creations will not only embody the aesthetic of traditional Welsh textiles but also pay homage to the region’s rich slate heritage, showcasing how art can be both sustainable and reflective of cultural identity.
