BLAS Pontio presents a project that has captured the wonderful community of Hirael, with support from Storiel. Film-maker Gwion Aled Williams and photographer Iolo Penri, have visited Hirael numerous times over the past year, getting a glimpse of the community and the people who live there.
As Part of the City of Bangor's 1500 Celebration we invite you to a free concert at Bangor's Saint Deiniol's Cathedral with performances by Arfon Wyn, Nest Llewelyn and Yr Ofergoelus (and special guests) as they recreate the seminal 1972 Resurrection concert at the Cathedral.
Welshness - or rather the experience of living in Wales - is an obvious theme in my work. Elements from my background and upbringing in Meirionnydd insist on inclusion in my work - the home and the farm; the celebrations and the clothing; the music and the Welsh culture; the family traditions and the familiar faces.
