The aim of the project is to pilot how schools can more easily access national collections – and how galleries that are part of the CELF network might help facilitate that. This project offers one model of working. Storiel and Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw have worked with two primary schools – Ysgol Garnedd (Bangor) and Ysgol Cymerau (Pwllheli) respectively, the artist Luned Rhys Parri and Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales.

By incorporating voice, samples, remixes Mr Phormula will weave a sonic soup that will make for an afternoon of amazing music

Come and discover a treasure trove of spells, rituals, and magical techniques to use day to day. Inspired by the history of Welsh folk magic and lore, but rooted in the here and now. During this workshop you will learn how to create your own protective charms, how and why to build altars at home for a variety of purposes, and also how to divine into the future.
Join local basketmaker, Karla Pearce, to weave a beautiful willow Catalan Platter. These platters, also known as tension trays, offer an enjoyable introduction to the world of willow basket making. You will learn the skills of hoop making, simple weaving and pairing as well as a tie to finish the handles of the tray. Karla will also talk about willow growing and the preparation of willow for weaving. Small willow plants will be available for purchase on the day so that you can grow your willow at home.
