Go back in time and discover how garden plants were brought to Wales from across the world, and how their escape from gardens can be detrimental to nature to this day. Experience and learn through an engaging multi-media exhibition including historical artefacts and fun activities for all the family. Find out how local artist Manon Awst has used sculpture to interpret the porous boundaries between gardens and our wider, wilder habitats. The exhibition will showcase easy steps any gardener can take to help protect and restore nature in North Wales by preventing garden plants escaping. The exhibition travels to several spaces during 2025 with a permanent sculpture by Manon Awst at Gwaith Powdwr, a North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve.

This exhibition is part of the Garden Escapers project at North Wales Wildlife Trust. The project is funded by the Nature Networks Programme. It is being delivered by the Heritage Fund, on behalf of the Welsh Government.
