This talk with be held through the medium of English
Born in Sir Meirionnydd, Griffith served in India in the 1880s as an army veterinary surgeon and his studies of parasitic diseases in horses led to the discovery of their pathogenic nature. His work took many years to be generally acknowledged by the medical profession, despite support from Pasteur. His career and adventurous nature took him to North America in Civil war times. He returned to retirement in Wales and involvement in local and national affairs.
