A series of colourful contemporary maps recording all areas of Wales; noting towns, main roads and mountain ranges.

“I was born in Gorseinion and raised in Cardiff. By now I’ve settled in Bangor and have been teaching Art and Photography at Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, Caernarfon for over 30 years.  Over the years I’ve been interested in all types of art but in Celtic Calligraphy in particular. 

The work shown here at Storiel is the ‘Siroedd a Lonydd Cymru / The Counties and Roads of Wales’ series.  Over the past four years I’ve succeeded in recording all areas of Wales in a map form and concluded the series with a complete map of Wales.  Lately I’ve been working on a new series of ‘Trefi Cymru / Welsh Towns’, a few of which are exhibited here.  My intention is to add more towns to this series in the near future.”
